Louis C. Kirby, M.D.

As founder of Pivotal Research Centers, Dr. Kirby has been principal
investigator in over 200 clinical trials and has experience in protocol
writing and consultation on protocol design. He is a clinical study
examiner for the NIH/NIA in Alzheimer’s disease as well as a consultant
to sponsors and CROs in protocol design.
Dr. Kirby is board-certified in neurology and is Associate Professor
of Sun Health Research Institute. He is a former Chief of Staff at Thunderbird
Samaritan Medical Center and a former board member of the Samaritan
Health Systems, Arizona’s largest health care organization. Dr.
Kirby serves on the Advisory Board of Applied Clinical Trials. He frequently
speaks at various national and international meetings on topics that
include GCP/ICH guidelines, total quality management at the clinical
site, investigative site management, and site management organizations.
Louis Kirby, M.D. attended medical school at the University of Texas
Branch in Galveston, Texas. He also completed his internship and residency
at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Craig McCarthy, M.D.

Dr. McCarthy is a board certified psychiatrist with experience as Principal
Investigator in over 75 studies. He has extensive experience in addiction
psychiatry and in treating the severely mentally ill. Dr. McCarthy attended
medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
He also completed his residency at Einstein, spending his final year
as chief resident of an inner city psychiatric emergency room. He then
went on to become Unit Chief of the addictions unit at St. Vincents
Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan. At that time he was Assistant
Professor of Psychiatry at New York Medical College. Dr. McCarthy returned
to Albert Einstein to join their faculty as Assistant Professor, and
to become the Medical Director of their Day Treatment Program. He supervised
many programs, including those for the severely mentally ill and for
the chemically dependent.
Dr. McCarthy joined Pivotal Research Centers in 1999 as a full-time
investigator.

Chrysanne Rinderknecht, M. D.

Dr. Rinderknecht is board certified Ophthalmologist in private practice
at Plaza Del Rio Eye Clinic, Peoria and Sun City West, Arizona from
1994 to present. She has PI experience in glaucoma and dry eye research
studies.

Selma E. Targovnik, M.D.

Dr. Selma Targovnik, MD, is a board certified dermatologist. She attended
medical school at Albert Einstein School of Medicine and completed three-year
internal medicine residency, finishing at University of Colorado Medical
Center. She then attended Boston University medical Center for her Dermatology
residency and did a dermatology fellowship in dermatology at New York
University Skin and Cancer Hospital. During her fellowship she focused
on photodermatitis and taught clinical dermatology. In addition to her
private dermatology practice, she holds a teaching appointment at the
Midwestern University Medical School in Phoenix, Arizona and served
as Chief of the Division of Dermatology at the Good Samaritan Medical
Center in Phoenix Arizona. Dr. Targovnik’s research expertise
includes dry and sun damaged skin, psoriasis and shingles among others.
Publication subjects include porphyries, hair disorders, photosensitivity
and contact dermatitis.

Troy Williams, M.D., F.A.C.P., CCRI

Dr. Williams is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Principal investigator on over 80 studies, he is a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians. He has past appointments as Clinical Instructor
in Medicine at University of California, Irvine and Clinical Assistant
Professor of Medicine at James H. Quillen College of Medicine. Dr. Williams
has extensive experience in Internal Medicine and Nephrology acquired
as; a staff physician/consultant at Good Samaritan Regional Medical
Center, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital,
Phoenix Memorial Hospital, Phoenix Humana Hospital, Desert Samaritan
Medical Center and Carl T. Hayden Veteran's Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Williams served as project director for the NIH's Pima Indian Diabetic
Renal Disease Study. He was previously the principal investigator for
Clinical Studies, Arizona on over thirty clinical trials, with experience
in multiple indications including Alzheimer's disease, depression, osteoporosis,
and women's studies.
Troy Williams, M. D., F.A.C.P. attended medical school at The University
of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis. He interned
at Bayfront Medical Center/University of South Florida and completed
Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Phoenix.
He completed his Nephrology fellowship at The University of California
Irvine. He holds active medical licenses in Arizona and Tennessee.
